Very nice piece of Belgium industrial design. This is for a rare T2 side table designed by Industrial designer and Architect, Willy van der Meeren for Tubax in 1954. These tables were based on Corbusier’s Modular principles. This table has a very nice triangle top and are based on 3 heavy black lacquered solid metal legs. ‘ A table is more stable on three legs’ Is what van der Meeren stood for. He didn’t want to waste wood and space that’s why these tables have this shape, more tables could be made of one piece of wood, also the smaller T2 tables. This table is in original condition with super rare red vinyl top, never seen before but completely original. Very nice piece of industrial design, multi-functional small table in exceptional condition.
