Rare double shaded ceiling fixture designed by Gatta for Stilnovo, Italy 1959. This is for an uncommon and rare and double shaded ceiling lamp by one of the best Italian light producers in the 1950s, Stilnovo. Stilnovo was one of the bigger well known lamp distributors from the 1950s and 1960s, together with Arteluce and Arredoluce they created the fifties lamp craze before anyone else in the world. This is only the first time I get to see this lamp, never saw it in this double version! Very nice black lacquered metal rings, covered with white glass shades for nice diffused light, both held by 3 nickel pens. White bar ended with a white round ceiling plate. The big lamp is documented in a Domus from 1959, on a page with a Stilnovo advertisement.
