Fantastic large pendant lamp model 2048/px designed by Sergio Asti and manufactured by Arteluce, Italy 1959. This large shaped pendant lamp has an aluminum shade dark grey wrinkle painted which was typical for Arteluce lamps. The diffuser shade is in plexiglass (px) and the lower shade is made of waffle glass. The lamp is in very good original condition and gives very nice and warm light when lit. SIgned with the Arteluce sticker on the inside of the shade.
The pendant works perfectly and uses an E27 bulb up to 150 watt. This is wired for usage in the USA as well.
Sergio Asti, architect, was assigned by Gino Sarfatti to design lamps together with him for his company, Arteluce. They were friends before he joined the design team of Arteluce and you can see Sarfatti’s influences on all of his lamps.
