Very nice and large abstract modern sculpture in brushed steel, made by Rudolf Wolf in 1972. Rudolf Wolf (1919-1989) did graphic school, and technical building school, after that he became an industrial designer, he worked a lot with Wim Rietveld and Friso Kramer during the 1950s and 1960s. Some famous chairs he designed for Elsrijk in the end of the 1950s, but the price winning Gamma Chair for van Gaasbeek & Tiel is probably his most famous design item. Rudolf Wolf called himself an architect, industrial designer and constructivist. After his industrial period he started as a free lance designer and from 1970 an artist. He made a lot of huge sculptures and paintings for big companies, schools and government buildings. Mostly in RVS, lucite, glass and aluminum, that’s often to see in his paintings, same colors and shapes were used.

This is one of some scarce artworks he made, we acquired a large collection of his work directly from the widow of Rudolf Wolf, some works have been in their personal collection and was never offered for sale before! This is for a very nice and large abstract modern sculpture made of a brushed steel metal pipe, chrome plated. Weigted with a heavy black lacquered round metal base. The sculpture has some corrosion tot he chrome, can be restored by us if wanted. Nice to match with the smallere sculptures we have on sale.

All his works are sold with certificate of origin as not all of the works are signed. We also have a large photo archive where some works are on, or parts of it, or similar works.
