This non figurative painting named; Composition (compositie) was painted by Pieter Kooistra (1922-1998) in Amsterdam in 1968. The piece is painted with acryl on board and has a teak wooden finished frame. This beautiful colored work has been in our collection for several years but we have to sell it cause we dont have space for it anymore. In excellent condition.
Pieter Kooistra was born in Leeuwarden on June 24, 1922 and was a painter and sculptor. His work is mainly expressionist fauvistisch. He worked in Leeuwarden, Bergen, Terschelling and later in Amsterdam. Registered with B.B.K. and Visual Arts Foundation as a founder in 1953. He invented the art library (started in 1955) and he designed a global UN Income for all citizens of the earth. He died on May 5, 1998 at the hospital in Tiel. The subjects of his paintings are landscapes, nude and non-figurative and the materials he used include oil, wood and watercolor.
