Very cool and typical Dutch fifties colored sewing box designed by Cees Braakmen before Pastoe UMS ca 1950. There are many attributions about this sewing box (also for Rietveld so you can imagine the quality) but there is an existing video where Cees Braakman is making this exact sewing box, so it Isn’t Rietveld, though it was sold like several times as Rietveld for HIGH prices, it is Braakman at its best! Completely wood, lacquered in red, grey, black and yellow. Looks highly decorative and is functional as well! This is for a big version with 4 boxes and is in original condition. The boxes have some paint losses but have a nice patina from age and usage.
