Very nice and early credenza designed by Martin Visser and Jos Manders for ‘t Spectrum Bergeyk, Holland 1964. This very rare example is made of oak and white lacquered doors, drawers and shelves. The credenza is probably one of the nicest made by Martin Visser, maybe the little influences by Jos Manders got something to do with this. The oak part is fully refinished and in excellent condition. The white parts are original and show very minimal wear but a very nice patina from age and usage. So this credenza was restored with preservation of authenticity. Documented in the Spectrum book, page 82.
Jos Manders was born in Eindhoven on March 8, 1932 and deceased in Bergeijk in 1978. Manders studied at the Eindhoven academy for industrial design. Manders can be considered one of the artists who inspired in the 60s were the zero movement. He made ”‹”‹particular objects and reliefs of which only a few have survived.
