Ultra rare D60 side chair assigned to design by architect Jelle Jelles for TH Delft, Holland 1960. The assignment was to design a chair that has a spatial frame with a less as possible simple connections from the same type. This chair was the result of that assignment. The chair is made of solid steel strip frame and has canvas upholstery. The frame is connected only with bolts. Very strong and minimalistic frame. Of course the architect looked closely to the works from Poul Kjaerholm but still had his own strong ideas about it. Only 8 of these chairs were made in total, this specific chair comes out of a set of 6 which was commissioned by the previous owners in 1979. The original first model is in the collection from the TH Delft. This is a museal chair, also the original condition where the chair is in, is fantastic. With great patina from age and usage but no real damages. A true collectors item where you fall in love with directly.
