VERY RARE industrial desk, type ´Result´ designed by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel in 1958. This desk is a very hard find cause this was designed as teachers desk and there weren’t many of these around. Most were just the student desks which are small and don´t have a drawer, and then again if you find one of this, there are also later editions with a much less elegant frame! When you see this desk I think most of us see who the great inspirer of Friso Kramer was, and especially with this flat steel structure frame, this desk may be a Jean Prouve inspired desk! This has a very heavy steel frame with one drawer which is ended in perfectly efficiency. It has a grey/white Formica top and all is original! The desk won, like a lot of designs by Friso Kramer, a Signe d´Or for its functionalism and design in that period! Would look great in any mid century modernism design interior!
