Important pair of modernist easy chairs model Repose, designed by Friso Kramer and manufactured by Ahrend de Cirkel, Holland 1959. The chairs have a very nice v shaped black painted frame with metal structures, even better looking and more comfortable than the visiteur chair by Jean Prouve. This pair is in a fantastic industrial and original condition with newly done black upholstery with a small white stripe in it. Chairs look great in full dark upholstery, arm rests are also renewed so they look fantastic again. Chairs seat super and look amazing. Friso Kramers designs won a lot of Signe d’Ors for his functional usable and affordable designs.

The designs of Friso Kramer are highly sought after because of their progressive designs. Even though his items were designed several years ago, they still fit in the daily interiors. Friso Kramer was a functionalist, all of his pieces are well thought about and amazingly executed. Even though most of his designs were produced in large numbers the process before that was really intense and time taking. And the result of that was a great production process with fantastic ergonomic result. Friso Kramer is often compared to Jean Prouve. Musea often show the Revolt chair next to the Standard chair by Jean Prouve, not without reason.
We are specialized in the industrial designs by Friso Kramer and we have built a large collection of Friso Kramer furniture. If there is anything you are interested in please contact us with your request.
