Ultra-rare industrial dining or working table designed by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel, Holland 1955. This folding table was a part of the Reform table program that was designed by Friso Kramer in 1955. The Reform series contained a lot of variety of tables in different sizes and editions to the client’s needs. One thing was always the same, the structure of the base, applied in several different sized and shaped tables. This base was a folded metal frame which was light but also very strong. The tops varied from hardcore, linoleum, Formica and wood. Whatever the client wanted. This rare table with ingenious foldable frame has a rectangular shaped top, finished with white formica. The table has a light grey painted frame in good condition with normal wear and losses. The folding table is super rare, only a handful of these crossed the marked the last years. The table was pre-owned by an architect who bought it in 1963 and attached his drafting device to the table top so there are 8 small holes in the top, can be restored if wanted on request. The table won, like a lot of designs by Friso Kramer, a Signe d´Or for its functionalism and design in that period! Would look great in any mid-century modernism design interior! Could use up to 6-8 chairs.

The designs of Friso Kramer are highly sought after because of their progressive designs. Even though his items were designed several years ago, they still fit in the daily interiors. Friso Kramer was a functionalist, all of his pieces are well thought about and amazingly executed. Even though most of his designs were produced in large numbers the process before that was really intense and time taking. And the result of that was a great production process with fantastic ergonomic result. Friso Kramer is often compared to Jean Prouve. Musea often show the Revolt chair next to the Standard chair by Jean Prouve, not without reason.
