This is for a steel oxidated cube designed and made by Anne Rose Regenboog, Den Haag 2016. This cube is from a serie of 4 unica's made of steel and is finished with oxidation to provoke the rust process and making these metal artworks all different and unique. The cubes have the same concept but are all unique and hand made in her atelier in Den Haag. This sperical shaped artwork needed excellent craftmanship to make and this is finished into perfection! We are proud to present her work to the international audience because we feel this work belongs on an international stage. Cubes look great wall hung on a white wall but can also be used while standing on a table or sideboard for example. This cubes is a unique piece and this work was just released at PAN Amsterdam. This cube sculpture comes in a custom made crate made by MidMod-Design.
Anne Rose Regenboog lives in Den Haag. She studied, after her goldsmith education, applied and fine arts at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Her sources of inspiration are the classic elementary forms. Her works are autonomous; they are the result of study in material and shapes. Initially she presented her ideas in jewelry however after several years the work grew in size and it became clear that paintings and metalwork in a larger size are good practice were to ideas which proved unsuitable for jewelry, nevertheless perform.
The installation made of cubes is serial work. It started with an elementary module: open wire objects in the shape of cubes within which a diversity of characteristic configurations come to shape. This is how a three-dimensional game is created with lines where the inner space is never locked in.
