Super rare small buffet designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe USM in 1953. The Buffet is type DB51 and documented is probably before '53 cause it's not in that catalogue. This rare buffet is from the early combex series and is very hard to find, this one has fantastic colored doors which is a great contrast with the beech wood. Behind the 2 sliding doors there are 2 shelves on the left, a big and a small one, and 3 drawers on the right with a cutlery drawer. Only produced for a short period so that’s why it’s much rarer than regular Pastoe pieces from these series, and much nicer anyway with the colored doors. I have only seen this cabinet twice before. It is in very good condition, only the white door has been professionally repainted in the original off white color with authentic gloss. Take you maybe one chance to buy this rare and progressive piece of Dutch modernism.
