The shade is made of black patinated metal and has a Plexiglas diffuser shade. The lamp uses a TL with different tans for different diffused light as you wish. The lamp is in excellent original condition with a nice patina from age and usage but no noticeable wear that is not normal for a piece this age. The lamp works perfectly and you would only have to change the plug or use a travel converter for usage in the USA. The lamp is only documented in ‘goed wonen’ 1954.
