Fantastic low aluminum lounge chair model LC95A designed by Belgian designer Maarten van Severen (1956-2005) Gent, 1993. This chair was an early production by Maarten van Severen as later examples were marked and numbered and this one is unmarked. The chair comes from first owner and was hardly used because it’s extremely low to sit in. Therefore the chair is in excellent condition. The chair is made of anodized aluminum and has rubber shock mounts underneath the seat.

Maarten Van Severen (Antwerp, June 5, 1956 - Gent, February 21, 2005) was a Belgian furniture designer and interior architect. He came from an artistic family: his father was the working abstract painter Dan Van Severen and his brother Fabiaan Van Severen is also designer. Maarten Van Severen began studying architecture in Gent and designed furniture from 1986. He is considered one of the few Belgian designers who managed to penetrate the international Design top. Van Severen died at the age of 48 from the effects of cancer.
