This is for a cubes design drawing made by Anne Rose Regenboog. This is a study towards the cubes the makes. What can I do with a cube, what does a simple line do when I change it in the cube or what happens when I put something else inside. This drawing was made in 2016 in limited production, all drawings are unique.
Anne Rose Regenboog lives in Den Haag. She studied, after her goldsmith education, applied and fine arts at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Her sources of inspiration are the classic elementary forms. Her works are autonomous; they are the result of study in material and shapes. Initially she presented her ideas in jewelry however after several years the work grew in size and it became clear that paintings and metalwork in a larger size are good practice were to ideas which proved unsuitable for jewelry, nevertheless perform.
The installation made of cubes is serial work. It started with an elementary module: open wire objects in the shape of cubes within which a diversity of characteristic configurations come to shape. This is how a three-dimensional game is created with lines where the inner space is never locked in.
