Ado Ko Verzuu towtruck, Holland 1951
Height: 17 cm
Width: 28 cm
Depth: 16 cm
Very nice toy towtruck (autosleper) truck designed by Ko Verzuu for Ado Holland in 1951. Ado means Arbeid door onvolwaardigen, translated; labor by incapacitated, which makes this an even more special piece. Toys by Ado are being highly collected at the moment, even more than ever cause this is very decorative combined with 1950s furniture from all countries! Ado toys have a great charm because of their played look and original age wear. Ko Verzuu inspired his designed on ‘De Stijl’ bij Gerrit Thomas Rietveld. In this truck you can see a lot of comparisons with 'De Stijl' and Gerrit Rietveld, especially the primary colors and minimalistic forms. This car is in a very nice used condition, complete and original. Marked with the metal ADO plate at the front. Would be an amazing decorative addition to any interior.
