Shiro Kuramata umbrella stand Pastoe Idee 1986

Rare umbrella stand designed by Shiro Kuramata for Pastoe Idee, Holland 1986. This funny but elegant functional umbrella stand has a great combination of art and functionality. It has a matt painted metal weighted base. It looks like there is an umbrella standing in the base with a chrome ring around it. Marked on the inside with the Pastoe sticker. This was only produced for 2 years and not many were made so it’s a rare and hard to find piece, especially in this good condition.
