Very important industrial desk chair model Revolve. This Revolve chair is designed by our most important industrial designer, Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel, Holland 1960. The chair has a very nice folded metal structure. This model of the Revolve are only very few known to exist. Since the base was too expensive to produce the design was changed to the smaller base you see more regularly. This chair is in a fantastic industrial condition with original black faux leather upholstery which is in perfect condition. Chair looks great fully in black. Chair seats fantastic and looks amazing. Friso Kramers designs won a lot of Signe d’Ors for his functional usable and affordable designs.
The designs of Friso Kramer are highly sought after because of their progressive designs. Even though his items were designed several years ago, they still fit in the daily interiors. Friso Kramer was a functionalist, all of his pieces are well thought about and amazingly executed. Even though most of his designs were produced in large numbers the process before that was really intense and time taking. And the result of that was a great production process with fantastic ergonomic result. Friso Kramer is often compared to Jean Prouve. Musea often show the Revolt chair next to the Standard chair by Jean Prouve, not without reason.
We are specialized in the industrial designs by Friso Kramer and we have built a large collection of Friso Kramer furniture. If there is anything you are interested in please contact us with your request.
