Friso Kramer Euroika vanity mirror Auping 1963
Height: 51 cm
Width: 33 cm
Depth: 18 cm
Elegant vanity mirror designed by Friso Kramer for Auping, Holland 1963. This mirror is from the Euroika series designed by Kramer in 1963. The Euroika series had a Bed, bed cabinets, table, chair, mirror and a toilet cabinet. All items of this series are hard to find accept for the chairs, these you see quite regularly. This mirror was made of very nice rounded teak plywood and has a glass shelve. Mirror still has its original shiny deep color and the glass is in perfect condition. Would look fantastic hanging in any modern design bedroom. Very easy to wall hang using only 2 screws.
The designs of Friso Kramer are highly sought after because of their progressive designs. Even though his items were designed several years ago, they still fit in the daily interiors. Friso Kramer was a functionalist, all of his pieces are well thought about and amazingly executed. Even though most of his designs were produced in large numbers the process before that was really intense and time taking. And the result of that was a great production process with fantastic ergonomic result. Friso Kramer is often compared to Jean Prouve. Musea often show the Revolt chair next to the Standard chair by Jean Prouve, not without reason.
We are specialized in the industrial designs by Friso Kramer and we have built a large collection of Friso Kramer furniture. If there is anything you are interested in please contact us with your request.
