Very nice and unusual toy car designed by Ko Verzuu for Ado Holland in 1940. Ado means Arbeid door onvolwaardigen, translated; labor by incapacitated, which makes this an even more special piece. Toys by Ado are being highly collected at the moment, even more than ever cause this is very decorative combined with 1950s furniture from all countries! Ado toys have a great charm because of their played look and original age wear. Ko Verzuu inspired his designed on ‘De Stijl’ bij Gerrit Thomas Rietveld. In this car you can see a lot of comparisons with 'De Stijl' and Gerrit Rietveld. Though this car doesn’t have a lot of colors you can see the style influences to it. This car is in a very nice used condition, complete and original. Marked with the metal ADO plate at the front. Would be an amazing decorative addition to any interior.
