Wim Rietveld 4 Pyramid chairs for Ahrend de Cirkel 1960
Height: 81 cm
Width: 47 cm
Depth: 50 cm
Here a very nice and hard to find set of 4 Industrial chairs type ´Pyramid´ designed by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend de Cirkel in 1960. The Pyramid chair was designed to be as well functional, as nice and cheap to produce, and because Rietveld managed to put all those 3 desires in his design this chair won a famous ‘Signe d’Or’ in 1960. These chairs are from the first series and are nice in combination with the light wood and light grey frame, this is not a common combination. Chairs have a grey lacquered metal u structure frame and a birch plywood seat and back which is a very nice and strong combination. Chairs have some normal but minimal age wear from usage, which is normal from stacking them but no big damages. Chairs would look great in an industrial modern design interior. These chairs are the least sold in the days, so the rarest from Ahrend. These chairs are becoming more scarce every day, great investment.
