Poul Kjaerholm PK61 Greenland marble table E Kold Christensen 1956
Height: 30 cm
Width: 80 cm
Depth: 80 cm
Here for one of the most known designs by Poul Kjaerholm, this coffee table type PK 61 designed for E Kold Christensen, Denmark 1956. Poul Kjaerholm wanted to sell his designs to Fritz Hansen at first but they didn’t want it. After a great success of manufacturing, Fritz Hansen bought the rights from EKC around 1980. This original old EKC table with massive flat steel frame has the EKC Denmark logo on one leg and a fantastic short produced greenland marble top which is a very early and very very nice top. This tables was bought at Metz & Co ca 1960. The frame is in very nice vintage condition. The top is in very nice condition, it has one minimal small chip (detail pic of the top) to a corner but you can’t really see it easily, nothing serious on the total condition of this table if you ask me! This table is being produced for 54 years now, will always be a classic you can put in any interior but this is the real deal, rare original EKC!
