Friso Kramer Revolt folding chairs 1953
Height: 78 cm
Width: 46 cm
Depth: 47 cm
Let me reintroduce Friso Kramers most important design of all. A rare set of 6 Revolt folding chairs by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel in 1953. This is for a set of early 1950s editions in rarer folding edition where only a few where made in completely blue. The chairs have blue folded metal frames and old blue fiber seats and backs which looks great for contrast. Chairs are in a good original vintage condition with only normal wear due to age and usage. The chairs have many hidden technical details. Friso Kramer is one of the most upcoming designers at this moment, selling worldwide and on Auctions for high prices makes these chairs worth to invest your money! I don’t think many of these chairs survived over the years, and if so, not in this complete blue color, so take your probably one chance here!
Provenance: These chairs come from a very small theater in Amsterdam, the main colors of the Theater were blue, so that’s why these chairs are made upone request in this full blue color. Most were with grey frames. Chairs are from ca 1955 and purchased by an artist in Amsterdam who bought these when the Theater stopped.
