Rare metal bookcase shelving unit designed by Friso Kramer for de Beijenkorf, produced by Asmeta in 1953. Martin Visser commissioned Friso Kramer to design a simple usable shelving unit for de Bijenkorf. This bookcase was designed in the colors of De Bijenkorf. De bijenkorf is an exclusive department store still existing and selling high quality clothes brands, watches. But also toys, books and expensive design of course. This modular shelving unit has dark blue and yellow backsides and sides which can be adjusted in any wanted composition. This unit also has a rare storage unit which wasn’t mostly added to this unit. This unit is very complete and in a very nice original condition, just the storage unit doors have some signs of age and usage. This unit is a must have for any modernist design lover or collector, hard to find in this complete condition and it’s just like an abstract work of art when you see it.
