Pierre Paulin Artifort ABCD sofa set 1968
Height: 60 cm
Width: 160 cm
Depth: 80 cm
Rare pair of original first ABCD 2 seater sofas designed by Pierre Paulin (1927-2009) for Artifort in 1968. ABCD; The 261 series is composed of elements of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or more seats. It was created originally for hotels, based on the egg box model in order to provide side-by-side sociability. This sofa is mounted on casters and existed in single-colored, two-colored and three-colored versions. It is made of three strips of foam mounted on a steel base. This is for 2 original editions on 1 color, purple red color. Both sofa’s are in good original condition, both of them have some slight stains but they aren’t cleaned yet. There are some companies who are specialized in cleaning this but I wanted to keep them original as they are. No tears or holes in the original fabric. Hard to find old editions, new ones have cube feet instead of wheels. Would look great in any modern design interior, home or office.
