Achille Castiglioni ‘Mezzadro’ stool for Zanotta 1973
Height: 53 cm
Width: 43,5 cm
Depth: 51 cm
Nice iconic design stool, designed by Achille Castiglioni for Zanotta in 1973. This is for a hard to find first edition, the thing separating this chair from new cheap ones is the life it had and the patina to it true age and user wear. The difference is the 2 screws in the wood, at the recent ones these are replaced in inbus screws. And the screw beneath the seat is different from the recent models. Anyway this stool shows age wear that can’t be created in a couple of years, needs a minimum of 25 years to get it in this nice used condition. Heavy flat chrome steel frame, beech foot and a white lacquered seat. Would look great in any modern design interior.
