Wim Rietveld Gispen floor lamp 1953
Height: 170 cm
Width: 110 cm
Depth: 14 cm
Here for the one of the nicest Dutch lamps around, this floor lamp was designed by Wim Rietveld (son of Gerrith Th Rietveld) for Gispen in 1953. This early fifties lamp was actually designed before the Tomado color craze broke true and that’s why there aren’t many around, this lamp was too progressive for its age! This fantastic floor lamp has a black cricket shaped foot made of massive metal an lacquered in shiny black, it has a white counter balance arm with a black Bakelite end and a very nice original grey industrial blue colored shade. The lamp is adjustable in many different positions and looks just nice in all of them. A very good investment cause this is only the 2nd time I see this lamp in 3 years. Lamp is in very nice all original vintage condition.
